It is highly recommended that parents supervise their children as they take this class and ensure that they adhere to the correct flooring requirement, spacing requirement, and clothing requirement. Gymnastics is a physical art form and injuries can occur if children are not focused and not practicing in the right setting or clothing. It is imperative that students wear closed-toed shoes or go barefoot- socks are easy to slip in, and sandals/flip flops are easy to kick off or trip over when trying to handle an apparatus.
