US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - Kindergarten
It is so much fun to see little learners start to read on their own. In this class we are going to build on this skill by using rhyming words. Learners that know their short vowel sounds and have begun reading CVC words will do well in this class. I love for my learners to have fun as they learn; so, we will be playing games and doing fun activities to re-enforce this concept. Learners will receive some lecture instruction, but in this class learners will have a lot of opportunity to interac with me, their teacher, and their classmates. Learners will benefit from having a knowledge of short vowel sound and some exposure to CVC words. I look forward to meeting and teaching your learner.

Hello, my name is Parri!
I am so excited to be teaching with Outschool. I hope to teach classes in Phonics, Math, Art, and Sea Glass.
I have been teaching for 28 years; I taught for 25. 5 years in a Brick and Mortar school and for 2.5 years online. I have taught Reading, Language, Phonics, Literature, Spelling, Math, Social Studies, Canadian Studies, and Science. I LOVE teaching Phonics and Reading. Online I have been teaching children ages 4-14 to speak English. I also do tutoring with these ages and in these subjects both online and in person.
I believe teaching should be fun and at the same time assist students to reach their highest potential. I like to teach using games and activities that encourage learning in a fun way! I want my students to know I care about them and their learning.
One of the first classes I hope to teach is one about Sea Glass; I LOVE the beach. Since I was a child, I have been roaming beaches looking for sea glass; I also love making things with the glass too!
