We'll read a couple of funny rhymes, then we'll work together to write one of our own.
Class experience
US Grade 2 - 4
I will read some short fun poems to the class. I will share my screen, so the learners can follow the wording along with me. We will repeat the poems together, then we will talk about what we liked about the poems and which parts they may think are funny. I will ask the learners if they would like to try and think of a rhyme of their own. This will be an enjoyable class, and research has shown that awareness of rhyme and the ability to sing songs and rhymes, positively supports children's...
Because some verses are made up of patterns, they are easier to memorise and fun to recite. Also, using rhyme, rhythm and repetition helps children develop early literacy skills.
I am certified in TEFL and EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) (2017) and I have six years online teaching experience to young learners, from 2017 to present. I enjoy teaching children, and I always try to make learning fun and enjoyable.
Learners will need: Some paper to write and draw on. A pencil, eraser and a pen. Maybe coloured pencils or crayons if learners would like to draw.
