Class Experience
Over this course, we will be using Minecraft in each lesson. At the start of each class, students will be introduced to a new world within Minecraft. They will be guided through this world by me. Throughout our tour, we will learn about the people who lived here. We will learn about their cities, religions, cultures, languages and day to day life. We will learn what each Revolution changed for these people. To finish it off, we will create a re-enactment of the Revolution. History will come alive in the digital world of Minecraft. During this course, we will explore the World: The American Revolution The French Revolution The Russian Revolution The Industrial Revolution We will travel throughout time and around the World. Who are we? What comes next? “We are not makers of history. We are made by history”. This is History in the Making
I have been teaching for over 6 years now. I have taught many different subjects to many different students. I am a fully qualified teacher who specializes in teaching history. My Bachelor Degree is in History and I have taken multiple child protection courses
No mandatory homework will be given. Optional challenges and additional reading will be provided for those that want to learn more. Minecraft gives students the opportunity to learn and explore History on their own.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
Some of the topics being discussed will involve sensitive topics, such as religion and war. This course will provide multiple viewpoints and come from a neutral standpoint. History is not always positive and this course will reflect this. The class is designed for children and is suitable for all ages.
