US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Is your learner fascinated by all things yucky, like poop and pee? Do they like to explore the revolting side of history? This is the class for them! In this class, learners will learn about different jobs from the past. Students will be given a series of clues for each job and asked to share what they think the job was. We will then talk about the job itself and discuss why it was gruesome and the dangers of doing the job. Students will get the opportunity to share their opinion about each job from the past. Teaching will mostly be discussion based, using a series of images to support discussion. There will be a small amount of text on slides, but it is not necessary for your child to be a confident reader as I will read all of the text out. All students, even those who feel uncomfortable speaking in class, will be able to participate through hand gestures (e.g. thumbs up). No prior knowledge will be needed to enjoy this course.
Learning Goals
During this lesson, students will:
Learn about different jobs from the past,
Make predictions based on clues
Give their opinions about different jobs.
