Class experience
US Grade 5 - 6
This ongoing course will meet 1xwk and cover 4th and 5th grade math content based on the learners' needs. Instructor will follow an I Do, We Do, then You Do instructional format where a topic will be demonstrated then learner will practice with guidance from the instructor. The session will end with learner performing a task independently so instructor the level of learning that was acquired in the session. Word problems will be used to help learners understand real-world uses of concepts...
Learners will be given an opportunity to inform instructor of their needs prior to each session. Learners can expect to receive instruction and practice on the listed topic each session. Sessions will close with a game-based practice round allowing student to enjoy the opportunity to grow in their understanding of mathematical concepts.

Homework Offered
Homework will be given at the end of each session to allow students time to practice concepts discussed in class. Homework should take no more than 30 mins, however, more can be given at the parents' request.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Informal assessments will be given each week with a formal assessment provided as homework every two weeks. Assessments are used to determine student understanding of strategies being taught.Grades Offered
