This 1 hour workshop is designed to help students plan and draft a clear and professional resume that highlights their skills and experiences. The lesson will be done using Google Slides, a resume template (either the one provided or one the student chooses), a handout or sheet of paper, and group discussions. Outline: I. Introduction Welcome and introductions Brief overview of the workshop objectives II. Understanding the purpose of a resume Why do you need a resume? What are the key elements of a resume? III. Identifying your skills and experiences Self-reflection exercise: What are your strengths, skills, and experiences? Group discussion: -How to identify your transferable skills and experiences. -Identifying the differences between good and bad resumes. IV. Crafting your resume Tips for writing a strong resume: formatting, keywords, and action verbs Opportunity for participants to work on drafting their own resume with guidance and support from the facilitator. V. Finalizing your resume Final tips and tricks for polishing your resume Discussion of next steps: submitting your resume, following up with employers, and preparing for job interviews VI. Wrap-up Q&A session Optional student opportunity to provide feedback.

Learners will need access to a Google Slide that we will go over in class, the handout or a sheet of paper, and a resume template which will be provided. Students may use a different resume template or a resume they have already developed if they choose to do so.
