1 hour per week. I will provide a diagram should the students want to color or label the parts of the respiratory system and major pathways. They can also use this for notes to remember the different areas we cover in class. I will post this to the classroom prior to our first meeting. **Students will also receive an optional homework assignment after each session which will be posted in the classroom.Class Experience

👃 A sneeze can expel air out of our body at over 100 miles per hour. Can you believe that is possible? Do we ever think about breathing? You probably don't or at least not very often. The average person does this at least 12-20 times a minute from morning through night. Of course, without respiration, we wouldn't be able to survive! 👉Students will uncover and learn about the following areas in this short course: Week of 3/10 Class I: Anatomy of the Respiratory System- Review of individual structures. Week of 3/17 Class II: Gas exchange in Alveoli-Review of the gas exchange process and how our body determines when it has adequate Oxygen and how to get rid of Carbon Dioxide. Week of 3/24 Class III: How we breathe: Inspiration and Expiration and the Medulla Oblongata. 🔍We will discover the structures through dynamic images and simulations into this fascinating system. There will be plenty of interaction and guided questions as we take our journey together. This active learning process helps students understand and remember the anatomy and major processes involved. 🎲At the end of our final day, we will play a game and review what we've covered in all classes. This is so much fun! We will work together as a class as we wrap up with this review game. I will post a diagram for the students to bring to class and we will work on this together as we are learning. This will be posted in the classroom prior to our first meeting. ☆Students will also receive an optional homework assignment after each session which will be posted in the classroom. Supply List
A diagram handout and note sheet will be placed in the classroom prior to our first class. Please print out and bring to class along with colored pencils as well as a regular pencil for labeling.
