Class experience
You will explore the difference between a growth mindset and a fixed mindset. You will find out about how mistakes are part of the journey to success, how the pathways in our brain work and how it's important to step outside of our comfort zone. There is space for 9 children aged 8-11 to join the session, which is led by one of our experienced and inspirational Role Models. Our Role Models are energetic, engaging, and curious educators who are passionate about encouraging you to become the...
These sessions are not designed just for children who struggle with resilience, we believe everyone should be developing this important life skill. The online programme is a great opportunity for any child to gain a better understanding of what a growth mindset looks, sounds and feels like and how powerful it can be when applied in different situations. They will learn that we don’t have to believe everything we think and that they can choose how to respond and react to the various challenges life inevitably throws at us. The online collaboration and communication with others throughout the programme can help boost general self-confidence and self-awareness. The course is a great way for children to explore being outside of their comfort zone within a fun and supportive environment. What are the benefits of these sessions? - Enhanced future job prospects: World Economic Forum ‘Future of Jobs Report’ (http://www3.weforum.org/docs/WEF_Future_of_Jobs_2020.pdf) consistently cites life skills as the most critical skills for the workplace. - Increased academic attainment: Numerous scientific papers identify the correlation between happiness and academic attainment - Improved mental health, particularly during a global pandemic.
Meet Louise Treherne our Director of our Character Education Team: Louise develops new and exciting ways to help children explore our four key areas of collaboration, resilience, creativity and leadership, in order to be the best version of themselves. Louise has a degree in Psychology, 12 years experience as a teacher and 5 years as a Senior Deputy Head at a London Prep school. She now works as a Coach and Educational Consultant, which includes working in different educational settings, delivering training and staying up to date with all things Character Education related! Through her coaching, Louise works 1:1 with adults and children to help them move forward with specific goals, explore limiting beliefs and develop their direction and confidence. Louise has created our content which is taught by our Role Models. Our Role Models (teachers) are energetic, engaging, and curious educators who are passionate about encouraging your children to become the best version of themselves. All of our Role Models are hand-picked and trained by our education team. In order to become a Role Model, they must have ample experience working with groups of children. They must also be adept at combining educational rigour with fun, to create active learning environments that children love. We have a number of qualified teachers and actors on our team. However, each Role Model brings something unique to the table. You can find out more about our Role Models here: https://www.rolemodels.me/about-us/meet-our-role-models/.
