In this class students will learn how to write an argumentative research paper with a clearly defined thesis. Each week we will go through the steps for developing a thorough, cohesive paper. We will focus on developing the thesis, taking notes, integrating sources, adding in-text documentation, and writing paragraphs. Students should bring paper and a pencil to class every week to use for practice activities and note-taking. For week two, I would like students to bring notecards to class for note-taking practice.
