Class Experience

US Grade 2 - 5
In this class, students will learn about the different animals in animal shelters, why animal shelters are important and how you can make a difference. Students will learn what the role of an animal shelter is and ways they can help animals in their local area. They will also learn the role the staff and volunteers play in helping the animals at the shelter. We will take a fun quiz about animal shelters and learn about careers in the animal field. We will talk about veterinarians, vet techs and groomers. Students will complete an art piece showcasing what they will do to help animals in need.

This class encourages students to practice communication skills by talking with their peers about their favorite animals, what careers they want to have and how they want to help animals in their local shelter. Students will practice having good listening and speaking skills as they talk about pets, rescue animals and more!
