30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this Intro to Makeup class, students ages 9 to 13 will learn the very basics of makeup and makeup application. This is not going to be a "glam" style makeup, but rather, we are going to cover the basics for students who are new to makeup and just curious and wanting to get started! This will be a "natural" makeup style and I will teach students step by step some easy techniques for applying everyday makeup. Students will need a few basic makeup items listed in the "Learner Supply List" and are encouraged to bring along any other makeup items that they already own.
Learning Goals
The goal of this class is to learn the basics of how to get an even skin-tone, cover blemishes, play with a little bit of color and how to make the eyes stand out. Learners will leave this class excited and with increased confidence in their makeup application techniques.

Parental Guidance
Learners will need to use some basic makeup items for class, at your own discretion. If there is an item of makeup that you do NOT want your learner to use during class, please make sure they do not bring it to class. This is a hands-on style class, however, learners can still benefit from being in class and not putting the makeup on while in class.
Supply List
-Foundation, BB Cream, CC Cream or Tinted Moisturizer in a skin tone match for your learner. -Mascara in black, brown or clear. -Lipstick, Lip-gloss or Tinted Lip-balm in any color the learner desires to use. -Hand-held mirror or any other mirror the learner can use easily while in class. -Makeup wipes or baby wipes for cleanup. -Q-tips for cleanup/mistakes. **If you do not already own these items for your learner then I would highly suggest purchasing these items from a "drugstore" makeup line from stores such as Wal-Mart, Target or Walgreens. These items can also be found at the Dollar Tree, including a hand-held mirror, wipes and Q-tips. To clarify, only one item from each category is needed, not all of them listed (You do not need both a "foundation" and a "tinted moisturizer") Cost for all these items will range from around $6 (Dollar Tree) to $20+ depending on the brands you choose from a store. If you need any recommendations for affordable products, or if you have any questions, please message me. Optional Items: These items are not required for this class, however, if you have them and would like to bring them to class to apply and ask questions, please feel free to do so. -Makeup brushes or sponges. -Concealer-in a tone to match learner's skin tone. -Setting Powder-translucent in color or to match learner's skin tone. -Blush-in any color the learner desires to use. -Bronzers-any shade for learner's skin tone. -Highlighters-any shade for learner's skin tone. -Eyeshadows-any colors learner desires to use.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
