In this one-time class, learners will have the opportunity to talk about reptiles and share their reptile pets with the class. Learners will exercise their public-speaking skills by introducing themselves and their reptiles. If a learner does not own a reptile, they can take some time to explain what reptile they would like if they had one. This is a discussion based class, so learners will be able to ask questions about reptiles, share their own knowledge, and interact with other learners. I own a leopard gecko, so learners will have the opportunity to meet my gecko and ask questions about how to care for one. A small slide-show will be provided, detailing various reptiles that can be owned as pets. All curious students eager to discuss reptiles are welcome. This club is structured as a one-time class, but can be taken as many times as desired, depending on the student's individual interest in meeting other learns and discussing reptiles.

I have a passion for literature and writing that led me to pursue a bachelors degree in English, which I received from Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania.
As an ESL teacher through VIPKid, I share my passion for the English language with young learners in China by teaching them the essentials of the English language. As a teacher on Outschool, my goal is to show students the importance of the written word through phonics and grammar instruction, writing practice, and literature discussions.

Some fun facts about me: I love Star Wars, superheroes, comics, Harry Potter, and Dungeons and Dragons. I have been playing the piano since I was eleven and I currently play the piano every month at church. I not only enjoy reading, but I enjoy writing as well. I have written two middle grade books and I am working on getting them published. I also own a leopard gecko named Nimbes.
