An exploratory look at the five major religions, how they answer similar questions with different beliefs and practices.

Class experience

US Grade 5 - 8
Students will be able to compare and contrast the five major religions (Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam) in a number of different areas.
I have many years of experience having taught this topic to 9th and 10th grade history and cultural geography students.
Homework Offered
Students will be expected to complete a chart (given prior to the class) and if a grade is needed, write a paragraph citing similarities and differences. (Formatting for paragraph will be given at the conclusion of the course.)
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Paragraphs will be assessed using a rubric and informal assessment.
Grades Offered
 1 file available upon enrollment
The comparison chart shall be provided in advance of the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
This course is not meant to sway someone's opinion toward one religion or another. It is simply designed to present the facts. With that being said, it is natural for students may become fascinated with one particular religion. In this course there are no judgments, only comparisons.
