Students will meet live with other students and the teacher. The teacher will share an interactive slideshow lesson with virtual fieldtrips, short videos, and fun interactive games and quizzes as we discuss a different religion each week. Students will learn whether a religion is monotheistic or polytheistic. They will have an introduction to 5 major world religions in an easy to understand language. Students will understand the connections that link Judaism, Christianity and Islam together....
Students will improve their understanding of 5 different religions from around the world. Students will engage their creativity while making a craft pertaining to the weekly lesson.
I have been teaching children for 8 years. I have a great interest in the religious cultures of our world. I also love being creative with art and ideas. It gives me joy to share my passions with children.
Students are encouraged to investigate and learn more about each religion on their own to expand their knowledge. There will be weekly reflection posted in the classroom for students to contemplate and share their own thoughts if they would like to.
There will be weekly PDF printables in the classroom for the students as extra activities that can be completed after class. Students will need the following supplies for the weekly craft/activities. Week One: 1. One Large sheet of paper or poster board, any color. Thick paper is best but any that you have will do 2. Several different colors of tissue paper students' choice (at least 3 colors) 3.
