We will share what we stress about and learn techniques to reduce our stress. Students will then learn to be aware of our body. We will start class by lowering our shoulders and taking in a deep breath. We'll create a list of what we stress about. We will learn and practice two breathing techniques: fire breathing and box breathing. Students will share their ideas and also learn about using things to help them relax such as petting a dog, hugging a pillow, a weighted blanket, or finding a...

Having been through a few surgeries and having dealt with high anxiety, I learned many techniques. I am not a doctor and don't claim to be, but have learned so much on my own which I use and shared with my own kids and my friends. I feel stress and anxiety is high in everyone, even kids. Kids may not have the words to explain how they are feeling and not sure how to handle it. Learning these ideas young, will help them as they grow up.
