Class Experience

In this one-time class, students are taught why it is so important, to tell the truth to their parents. The class will start by teaching the students are taught what a lie is. (A lie is leading someone to believe something that is not true regardless of the form the deception takes). Then the students are taught that telling the truth builds a bridge of trust between them and their parents. The teacher will use a bridge as a teaching tool to illustrate how telling the truth connects them to their parents making them feel closer and how telling lies is like a broken bridge that makes them feel separated. Sometimes it’s not easy to get along with mom and dad but children can learn the skills to do it well! This class will be a fun interactive discussion with the students giving them an opportunity to give their thoughts about lying. The teacher will use a virtual background of a famous bridge and whiteboard illustrations to teach. The students will draw their best bridge as they are being taught.
Learning Goals

My name is Billy and I have been a teacher for 25 years. I have 3 adventurous sons that I have been able to assist in reaching above grade level in all subjects. I also have been teaching children online for the last 3 years. My family is always up for our next adventure! We are currently living in our 3rd country and are loving learning about different cultures and people. As a lifelong learner myself, I strongly believe that learning should be fun and we should be able to see how it will apply in our lives, so this is the approach I take in my classroom. I have my bachelor's degree in teaching. I teach life skills, relationship skills, and all about animals. Please join me for an exciting class that you won't soon forget.
