Class Experience

This class will be lecture-based but with many opportunities for students to ask questions and share their experiences. Because we will be talking about each person's individual sensory needs I feel it is important to keep the group small, there will be between 1 and 5 students.

Topics covered will include:
What are our senses?
What is sensory input?
What is some sensory input that is upsetting, overwhelming, or frustrating for you?
What is some sensory input that is calming for you?
Possible calming input
What strategies are you going to try next time you feel overwhelmed with big emotions?

All of my classes are inclusive, which means they are open to students of all abilities, if your student needs any accommodations please let me know ahead of time and we will work together to ensure the best possible class experince.
