***MARCH MADNESS*** Parents: I am due with my second child the end of March. This class is discounted to just $1 for the month of March only. Teacher discount given after enrollment. Please note if baby comes early, class will be canceled. Hope to see you and your Littles soon!!! Your learner will focus in on his body and what his senses are telling him. Then, we will do some proprioceptive and vestibular activities to activate the body. By doing this, he will learn to regulate himself and his body will be more ready to start his day. This is a very short class, intended to be part of your morning routine! So take it as many times as you like. Come as you are – in pajamas, grumpy from not enough sleep, while you are eating breakfast, etc. This class is to help your preschooler/kindergartner get ready for the day. Please note that I am not an Occupational Therapist and do not provide therapy in any of my courses. This is an interactive class - but don't worry if your learner is shy or even nonverbal. This course is fully by Zoom interaction. No slides, videos, etc. are used. Absolutely no prior knowledge is necessary!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello parents and learners!
I teach 3 class types:
(1) Sensory Systems / Sensory Processing
(2) Introduction to Psychology
(3) Disability Awareness
I am a new teacher to Outschool and I am so excited to share my passions with you.
I have worked in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities for about 14 years. I've been a Paraprofessional, a Habilitation Provider for children with autism, and I currently am a Case Manager for children and adults with profound disabilities. I have a Master's degree in Psychology.
My son has Sensory Processing difficulties and I created a support blog for families working through similar obstacles. Some of my classes are an extension of that and if your child has SPD I truly hope you find some support in my classes. Please note that I am not an Occupational Therapist and I do not offer therapy in any classes. Thanks!
I am excited to teach your learner!
