This course will teach the concept of subtraction with regrouping. After teaching the concept, students will be able to guide me through problems. Students will then have time to work on problems independently. If time permits, the class will be able to collaborate in teams. *Knowledge of basic addition and subtraction required. **Fluency in addition and subtraction is not required. This course will focus primarily on the concept of addition with regrouping while practicing addition and subtraction facts.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to use standard algorithm, use place value models to regroup the ones place, make connections between concrete models of regrouping and the written method when subtracting numbers up to 1000.

Hello, my name is LaShaune, and I’m a wife and mother of four. I received my BS in Computer Engineering along with a minor in Mathematical Sciences from Clemson University. I went on to obtain my MBA in Information Systems Management from Strayer University. I’ve worked as a tutor and adjunct instructor primarily in mathematics during the past ten years. I am currently working on obtaining my NTA certification in reading and math. I love writing poetry, songs, and stories(whenever I have the time) and playing games with my family.
