Class Experience

This class is available 1:1 for $50, and can be scheduled at a time convenient for you. We'll cover topics listed, plus an additional 8 strategies with discussion on how to implement/ personalize strategies.

Have you ever wondered why someone can have a great day, and then start worrying right at bedtime? Or why someone might try to go to sleep but can't because all they can do is think? We answer these questions and more in this class.

This class is ideal for learners who have an interest in understanding what anxiety is, why it can increase at bedtime and what strategies can be used to reduce and/or eliminate bedtime anxiety.

This is an educational, fact-based course, and not a counseling or therapy group.

Because research says students learn better when relaxed, learners will not be called on.

Chat box polls will be used to encourage participation. Participation is welcomed but never required.

No prior experience is needed for this class, only an interest in understanding bedtime anxiety and strategies to reduce/eliminate it.

The class will have four sections.
I. What is worry/anxiety (feelings and physical response)
II. What contributes to bedtime anxiety
II. What can be done before bedtime to reduce and/or eliminate anxiety
III. What can be done at bedtime, and in bed to reduce and/or eliminate anxiety

I have a structured, yet humor-filled teaching style, designed to keep student's interest, and help learner's feel comfortable. It's important in this type of class especially, to use lots of encouragement and support for individual learner's preference. I'll use slides and gifs to reinforce concepts, as well.
Learning Goals
1. Students will learn how to define worry/anxiety in terms of feelings and physiological reaction.
2. Students will learn four contributing factors to bedtime anxiety
3. Student will learn five strategies to reduce or eliminate worry/anxiety, to be used before bedtime
