Projects
1-2 hours per week. Each of the 18 video lessons contains an optional task for learners to complete if they wish leading up to a final project.
Certificate of Completion
A certificate of completion is available upon request.
Grading
Learners are invited to design and construct their own roller coaster track in Minecraft, applying Redstone engineering concepts learned in the course. They will build the track, incorporate Redstone-powered elements, and ensure functionality and excitement. Once completed, learners may record a video of their roller coaster ride and share it with me for my responsive, inclusive, empowering, and specific positive feedback. Learner's creations are celebrated and appreciated.

As a neurodivergent person myself, and an experienced, highly trained & certified educator, I create my classes to be especially neurodiverse inclusive for learners with dyslexia, autism ASD, 2e, gifted, ADHD, & PDA. Homeschool friendly.

Water and Redstone mechanics differ in Java. * We are not gaming together. Gamer tags are not shared. * This is a Minecraft Roller Coaster course and is not a formal standards-based physics or engineering course. * Not an official Minecraft course. Not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. * This course includes commands, which involve typing, shown visually and spelled out with intention. * Minecraft may contain cartoon type violence without blood or gore. I do not model this in this course.
Pre-Requisites
Familiarity playing Minecraft Bedrock or Education Edition on own device. Optional commands require typing in the command/text/chat area. Learners may need assistance with typing and finding the @ and _ symbols.
