The goals of this one-time mug cake class are for learners to: learn about ingredients and tools, master new cooking techniques, gain independence in the kitchen, socialize with new friends, and bake an easy red velvet mug cake! All of the ingredients and cooking tools needed for this online baking class will be presented through an interactive activity. Learners will also be introduced to alternative allergen-free ingredients and cooking related math skills, including measurements and conversions. The teacher will cook alongside the learners to ensure that everyone is working at the same pace, understanding the process, and most of all - having fun! She will also encourage learners to socialize with one another while they are cooking and share a glimpse of their desserts along the way. Finally, learners will enjoy their homemade desserts together while reviewing all that they learned throughout class. After class, the teacher will upload a recipe card to the classroom that learners can download and print. All ingredients and supplies that are needed for this class are included in the 'Learner Supply List' below. Gluten-free & allergen-free alternatives available.
