Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Learners will explore the harmful effects of the textile industry. They will gain hands on skills related to fabric creation. We will learn a technique for upcycling unwanted clothing.
A medium cardboard box and scissors are required. A craft knife may also be helpful if learners are comfortable using one. Yarn is required. Please select sturdy yarns in natural or synthetic materials. Stretchy yarns are not good choices for weaving projects.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
This class uses sharp tools! Scissors are required. A craft knife may also be helpful if learners are comfortable using one. Please decide which tools are best suited for your learner.
