Come and learn basic recorder songs and techniques through Mari Schay's Recorder Monster curriculum! Teacher Tammy has been teaching recorder for fourteen years! Day 1: When to play the recorder, how to hold the recorder, how to finger B, A, and G. Listen and Play the song, "Big Gross Bugs". Day 2: Review playing position, B, A, G, and the song, "Big Gross Bugs". Learn other B, A, and G songs. Day 3: Review known songs and learn Low E and Low D on the recorder. Begin songs with all five notes. Day 4: Review and play all learned songs. Demonstrate what you have learned either as a group or individually or both! Discuss other notes on the recorder and other recorder sizes. Watch videos of professional recorder players and recorder consorts. Have fun and have access to Recorder Monster online to rehearse songs and notes!
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to hold the recorder, and how to play basic songs on the recorder.
