This class will teach recorder basics including proper hand position, effective blowing and the first 5 notes. This will be a fun, interactive class where students will learn from a live instructor and follow along with presented slides (and of course games!) During every class, students will have the opportunity to play for the group if they choose or just play along! A basic knowledge of notes on a staff is helpful but not necessary. Each class will start with warm-ups and note introduction/review and end with playing songs together. *Students must have their own soprano recorder. Feel free to reach out to the teacher if you have questions about purchasing the appropriate instrument.
