Our class will start with student introductions and an informal Q&A to see what the students already know or like about bugs. I will then introduce each of the different record breaking bugs using pictures and video clips. At the end, we will take a fun Bug Quiz to see what we've learned! After class, students will have the opportunity to create their very own record breaking bug and share it with myself and the other students by uploading it to the classroom. ***There is a handout I...
Students will learn about bugs that hold the records for deadliest, weirdest, stinkiest, smartest, largest, longest, strongest, and fastest. Students will practice their conversation skills and comprehension skills.
A one-page handout will be available for you to print prior to class. It can be found in the classroom when you register.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
