Gold Rush Girl by Avi Uprising by Margaret Peterson Haddix Hang a Thousand Trees with Ribbons by Ann Rinaldi White Rose by Kip Wilson Thirteen Doorways, Wolves Behind Them All by Laura Ruby It is unlikely, but IF we have time for an additional book during the semester, we will read A Time to Dance by Padma Venkatraman. Wherever possible, I recommend purchasing the books. This allows participants to highlight in the books, make notes in the margins, and generally prepare to share their ideas during our time together.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Please review the content of the books listed to ensure you are comfortable with the topic matter we'll be discussing. Rebel Girls often rise from the ashes of difficult circumstances, so we'll be discussing different wartime periods throughout history, racism, etc.
