In this friendly, ongoing class each week students will be drawing a new animal using step-by-step instructions. Students will be provided with a reference photo and will learn how to: Plan their drawing looking for basic shapes in the animal's face and body. Blending colours Using shade and tone to create realism Add textures such as fur and scales Look at specific shapes and details such as noses and eyes As well as drawing together, I encourage a sociable atmosphere and we often chat about animals, art and life while drawing and share news and our own art at the end. *Students may not finish their drawing during the class* We start with a DOG and then students decide what they’d like to draw which may include flamingos, pigs, butterflies, cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, hedgehogs, turtle, giraffes, pug, komodo dragon but will be dependent on group interest!
