Each week we will draw a realistic drawing of an animal - step-by-step

Class Experience

In this friendly, ongoing class each week students will be drawing a new animal using step-by-step instructions. Students will be provided with a reference photo and will learn how to:

Plan their drawing looking for basic shapes in the animal's face and body.
Blending colours
Using shade and tone to create realism
Add textures such as fur and scales
Look at specific shapes and details such as noses and eyes

As well as drawing together, I encourage a sociable atmosphere and we often chat...

Students will learn and practice many drawing principles such as :
Different ways to use color pencils
Shade and tone
Shape and details
Observation and creativity
