Become a Master at Drawing Realistic Animals! Sketching Art Class for Ages 8-12
What's included
1 live meeting
1 in-class hours per weekClass Experience
Only pencil and paper is needed to create these fun Animal Drawings! No previous experience necessary. This is an Ongoing Pencil Drawing Class, where we will be drawing a different Animal sketch each week! Learners are welcome to join the club at any point, space permitting. The club structure allows learners to get together each week with familiar faces, in a supportive environment. I create each sketch in advance, and then teach the class how to create their very own, step-by-step using simple shapes and lines, in a social and engaging setting! It's all about having FUN while exercising our creativity! While this class is very structured, I like to give my students the 'Artistic freedom' to add their own spin on each piece we create. Students will be encouraged to show off their artwork during the draw-along, and engage with questions and answers. We will be discussing and practicing shading techniques during this class to add shadow and dimension to our animals. Learners are also welcome to add color to their drawings after class. I use a second camera, so learners are able to see the in-progress and completed drawing up close. **Chromebook users- Please be sure your Chromebook is capable of using 'Gallery View' on Zoom in advance This class will begin with a short introduction and meet and greet of the class, then we will dive in! If a learner arrives tardy to the class, I will encourage them to watch the recording after class to catch up up anything they may have missed. This class is also offered as a Self-Paced class!
Learning Goals
My ultimate goal for this class is to create and nurture a love for Art in my students.
Learning goals for this class are to create a drawing that we are happy with, one step at a time!
I would like my students to walk away with a solid foundation of sketching and shading techniques/skills that can be applied towards future drawings.
