In answer to our "Go Girl" series, in which we share about women in myth, legend, history, we now present the men who made history worth learning about. In this class, we will specifically focus on men with minds: the men of myth who used their brains to invent and men of history who used their minds to change the world, the men of legend who were clever and the men of religion who encourage us to think. Each class will focus on a different quality we hope to emulate: 1. Brains 2....

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
We will be looking at the myths of ancient civilizations through a "G-rated" lens. Though the class itself will be appropriate for all audiences, it may stimulate curiosity regarding the Norse and Greek Myths we all know to be so gross and gory. If your family is not comfortable with all the parts of ancient mythology, I might suggest discussing expectations with your student ahead of time to set boundaries on what your family deems appropriate follow-up research.
