A home is the biggest expense we will ever make. Financial Education is a critical subject but often left out. In this class students will learn elements of real estate investing as a great practical plan for success.
Class Experience
The class will combine 3 elements: teaching instruction focused on the topic/theme, student examples (from the previous week's topic), and class discussion. Each week students will be finding examples of the class topic/theme found in the media, online, in a commercial, or in advertisement. Students will be encouraged to bring these to class for discussion. In class, we will solve problems related to the topic/theme together as a group. The ongoing format means learners can develop...
1. Build a Real Estate investing vocabulary. 2. Grasp elements for successful investing. 3. Teach a framework for those considering a career as a Realtor. 4. Contribute to building a student’s “financial education.” 5. Connect critical thinking skills with wise (financial) decision making. 6. See the significance of math for everyday living.
I bring 20 years of Real Estate and Mortgage Banking experience that includes branded Radio Education for Real Estate Investors. In addition, this also includes marketing and advertising business/entrepreneur knowledge to teach about branding, content marketing, the digital footprint, and building the brand story. Business Experience • I’ve started 4 companies and learned valuable lessons from each. • I ran Real Estate businesses that earning more than $80M a year. • I’ve hired, trained, and helped launch > 50 staff. • I have had > 10 student interns working in various capacities in companies I’ve owned. • I love guiding students to prepare to be business owners. • Most of my closest friends are entrepreneurs and business owners. • Business mentoring, coaching, and teaching are all among my strongest gifts.
There will be an average of 1 hour of homework for class. This will include weekly assignments that follow the class lesson that will integrate with the Student Real Estate Investment Project Presentation.
