Description
Class Experience
Students will learn what fluent readers do. Students will practice fluency passages. Students will receive feedback on what they are doing well and what areas they can continue practicing. Students will answer comprehension questions.
Since this is a one time class, there will be no assigned homework. It is my hopes that your child will be able to use the skills learned from this class in reading settings outside of our classroom.
All supplies will be available during the class. I will share my screen in order to show all passages, tips, and questions.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The assessment will simply be the student practicing reading fluency passages and receiving feedback from the teacher. This is a very informal assessment.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
