In this small group 4 week class, learners will work on a different short writing activity each week (see the schedule of writing activities below). Classes will involve teacher-led explanation and modeling of how to do each writing activity, brainstorming ideas as a group, teacher guidance as learners work on their own writing, and also opportunities for learners to share their work with the group. - Learners will learn how to express themselves in their writing. - Learners will learn how to write basic step by step instructions. - Learners will learn how to use transitional writing words like: first, next, then, next. - Learners will be able to describe themselves in writing. - Learners will be able to write letters to family and friends. - Learners will be able to write about a book they have listened to/read.
Homework Offered
If learners don't finish any writing activities in class they have the option to continue what they have left after class.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
