Class experience
In this one-time class, your learner will get cozy and listen to a visualization script, led by me, that will take them on a journey to a beach with rolling waves. The script will guide them in taking deep breaths, releasing tension in their body, and using their senses, active imagination, and positive self-talk to truly delve into this beautiful scene. We will then engage in a related art activity drawing ocean waves. This will help learners connect with the visualization in a more solid...
Though this class is for anyone, but to note, I am a mental health professional with over eight years of experience working with children with anxiety, poor self-concept, and other mental health struggles. I have utilized this program with some clients. This program is not meant to be viewed as therapy.
Your learner should have a comfortable, quiet place to sit or lie down. Learners will also need a white piece of construction paper (or other white paper) along with something they can color with.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
We will be using one script from "Ready...Set...R.E.L.A.X". by Jefferey S. Allen, M.ed. and Roger J. Klein, Psy.D.
