Class Experience
1. A First Grade level phonics skill will be taught. 2. Students will have opportunities to practice the skill. 3. The teacher will guide students to read a book highlighting the phonics skill taught. *The class will move through several activities to support the understanding of the phonetic concepts presented. Phonics and Word Recognition: CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RF.1.3 Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RF.1.3.A Know the spelling-sound correspondences for common consonant digraphs. CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RF.1.3.B Decode regularly spelled one-syllable words.
