Homework
1 hour per week. Learners will go on to the Classroom page after each workout. There, they will be able to share their favorite moves, comment on others’ posts, and discuss their favorite Star Wars characters. No other homework is assigned but it is strongly encouraged to continue moving and working out daily.

Class Experience

Are you ready for the Ultimate Jedi/Sith/Lightsaber workout all in one course? Grab your Lightsabers, costumes, and bring the Force with you and join me at Galaxy's Edge for a fun and interactive week of all things Star Wars and fitness. This is a class suitable for all ages and fans of the Light side and the Dark side. 
**Note: This is a FITNESS class while using lightsabers to workout. If you are looking for full lightsaber training, I would suggest my class called Star Wars: Jedi Lightsaber Spins and Tricks**

If you've taken any of my other Star Wars classes, you will have a one-up on this ultimate course. The workouts will follow my previous courses, with an included bonus class for taking this camp! You will be prompted to share your videos/photos/discussions using the Outschool classroom. Learning is accomplished through the use of pre-recorded class videos (NO LIVE MEETINGS).

This 4 class course will start with simpler moves and progressively get harder with each day. After each class learners will immediately log in to the Outschool classroom, where they will be able to record their favorite moves from class, ask questions, and participate in Star Wars based discussions with the teacher and all the other learners. They will be able to comment on each others’ videos, as well as receive feedback for theirs. Each student is asked to comment on at least 2 other video submissions. Each class will have a new discussion-based prompt. 

The flexible schedule allows students the ability to watch the workout when it works into their schedule.
Each workout video will become available to you through the Outschool classroom on Sunday by 5 PM MDT. You will also submit responses to the classroom so your learner can start discussing all things Star Wars with their classmates. 




Class Breakdown:
5 min: Introductions/ Star Wars mini discussion 

20 min: Workout with a few water breaks 

5 min: Cool down/ Discussion

5 min: Share favorite workout move on Outschool classroom


I am also available for “office hours” (like a parent-teacher-child conference) at your request. 

Learners are encouraged to bring a lightsaber, a stick, a pool noodle, or something along those lines. If you don't have anything, it's ok, we love make believing. It is also important to have a good amount of space to move around, as well as comfortable shoes (or bare feet), a mat or carpeted area, and some water.  

*Note: This is a Cardio-based class. Make sure to continue to drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Feel free to share photos of the young Jedis in training! All ages welcome.

Learning Goals
Students will learn to have positive discussions in the classroom with fellow learners about Star Wars Jedi moves, characters, and work out moves. During our work out, students will learn to stretch correctly. They will learn fun and exciting moves through working out that will help them look and use the Force like a real Jedi. This is a cardio-workout, which will: strengthen heart and muscles, burn calories, reduce body stiffness, and boost "good mood" chemicals. 

These classes will build upon each other progressively getting harder.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
Make sure the students have enough room to move around. Comfortable clothing is preferred, as well as water. A light saber of sorts is preferred- you may also use a pool noodle, a stick, or any other kind of item that resembles this.

I took fitness, health, and nutrition classes in college. I played sports all through high school. I work out on a daily basis using a variety of techniques. I love fitness and can't wait to teach your children some fun ways to work out and to create healthy lifestyle habits. 
My family also LOVES all things Star Wars! I have seen all the movies and know the characters well.
