US Grade Pre-Kindergarten - 1
These one-on-one sessions are designed to give your learner the tools he or she needs for a successful kindergarten year. My curriculum is designed to function either as a standalone kindergarten program or as a supplement to whatever you are already doing for school. This can be especially helpful both for students who need more academic support, as well as for students who could benefit from more of a challenge. I tailor your child's learning plan to their unique learning needs and interests. The following subject areas and concepts will be covered: literacy, math, science, social studies, and fine motor skills. If there are any additional areas or topics you would like for me to cover, please let me know and I will gladly tailor the class to your learner's needs. My teaching style is relaxed but fun and I incorporate a variety of methods into my teaching, such as songs, games, activities, videos, props, flashcards, and more. Learning Goals
Students will learn and master units of time, such days of the week, months of the year, and will learn to read both a digital and analog clock.Students will learn and master colors and shapes and will demonstrate this knowledge by practicing skills such as matching, patterns, and sorting.

Construction paper, lined paper, crayons, pencils, scissors, and glue would be recommended to have nearby. Any additional needed supplies will be posted in the classroom with at least 2 days notice.

We will use various classic children's books for a read aloud time and each homework assignment will include book recommendations to supplement what students are learning. Other resources that may be used include various free online resources, Teachers Pay Teachers, and my own teacher created resources.
