Join us as we learn, practice, and review Preschool skills together! In this course, we will cover essential skills in Language Arts and Math to help prepare students for Kindergarten!

Class experience

US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
Reading   - Know how to find the first page of a book and which way to flip the pages
                - Recite the alphabet and identify the letters
                - Recognize when two words rhyme (like cat and bat)
                - Start to connect letter sounds to letters (like the sound of the first letter in their name)
                - Draw a picture to help express an idea
Math        - Count from 1 to 10 without skipping numbers
                - Match a number to a group of five or fewer items
                - Recognize and name basic shapes (square, circle, triangle, rectangle)
                - Understand more than and less than
                - Arrange three objects in the right order (like from smallest to biggest)
                - Name basic colors
Writing/Language/Fine Motor Skills  - Recognize and learn how to write their own name
                                                          - Use a pencil or crayon to trace letters & shapes
                                                          - Use scissors
                                                          - Understand two-step directions
                                                          - Make comparisons and describe relationships between objects like big/little, under/over, and 
                                                            first/last
For each class students will need:
paper
pencil & eraser
crayons, colored pencils, or markers
scissors
glue stick or glue 
activity sheets (pdf will be provided at least 24 hours prior to class)
*Any other materials needed will be communicated at least 24 hours prior to class.
Students will be using scissors to practice cutting skills at times.
