In this 1.5 hour class, student will follow the instruction and guidance on how to measure, mix, bake, and decorate some tasty cupcakes.

Class Experience
Students will learn how to measure and mix ingredients, bake and decorate delicious cupcakes, as well as have the opportunity to socialize with their peers.
I have had a passion for baking since I was 6 years old, baking alongside my mother. In 2014, I decided to take cake decorating classes to improve my skills and found an even stronger love for that. A year later, I started my own custom cake business from home and have been very successful ever since. Currently, I homeschool my 3 children and have passed my love for baking onto them and I always find ways to incorporate baking into their lessons. Baking is a great learning experience as we read the recipes and use math skills to measure ingredients.

1 file available upon enrollmentBaking supplies: Cupcake pan Cupcake liners (optional, but recommended) Mixer and beaters (hand mixer is fine) Large mixing bowl Spatula Measuring cups and spoons Cooling rack (optional) Oven Ingredients: All purpose flour Sugar Salt Baking powder 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) Butter, softened Milk (any kind) Eggs Vanilla extract Oil (canola or vegetable oil is recommended) Powdered sugar (4 cups or 1lb)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance is recommended when the students, especially younger ones, will be using the oven. Also, younger students may need help measuring and using the mixer.
