In this one-time 60 minute class, students will learn how to prepare a piping bag and learn basic piping techniques to use to decorate cakes and cupcakes.

Class Experience

 1 file available upon enrollment
Students MUST HAVE the following supplies in order to participate in class: -16 oz. Buttercream frosting (Homemade- recipe file is given when enrolled- or Wilton/similar brand from hobby store, not the frosting from the baking aisle) -Water and teaspoon (if using Wilton buttercream) -Gel coloring: green and 2 colors of choice -4 piping bags -3 sets of couplers -Cake decorating tips (Star tips: 1M, 16, 21; Round tips: 1, 3, 12; Flower tip: 2D, Leaf tip: 352) -Parchment paper -Tape -Scissors -Rubber bands (3) -Spatula -Toothpicks -3 bowls (to tint/color buttercream) -3 spoons -Hard, flat surface (countertop, table, etc.) -Cupcakes (at least 6 cupcakes)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
No parental guidance is necessary.
