Class Experience

US Grade 5 - 6
In this discussion, critical thinking and problem based course students will explore key 5th grade concepts that will be built upon in 6th grade. 
This is an interactive course so students need to come to class with microphones and cameras on. 

The course will take place as follows: 
Class 1: Fraction Operations 
Class 2: Word Problems involving fractions, and decimals
Class 3: Critical Thinking with basic formulas; area, perimeter, and volume
Class 4: Using parenthesis and Order of Operations in expressions and equations
This course will be hands on with a heavy emphasis on problem solving and critical thinking.
Learning Goals
The student will have an understanding of algebraic relationships, proportional reasoning, and rational numbers (fractions and decimals).
