ALPHABET NAMES, SOUNDS, AND ASL SIGNS This class is meant to engage the students knowledge and help them remember the letters and their sounds by incorporating movement into the class and eliciting participation from each student during the class. Some prior letter recognition skills will be beneficial to the student but not required before taking this class. Students will be asked to bring an object that starts with each of the previously learned letters to class. Eg. Class 2: students will bring an object that starts with either an A, B, or C as a review from the previous class and so on
Class Overviews: (30 minutes/class) Class 1- A,B,C Materials: Letter cards for A, B, C Class 2- D,E,F Materials: Letter cards for D, E, F Class 3- G,H,I Materials: Letter cards for G,H,I Class 4- J,K,L Materials: Letter cards for J,K,L Class 5- M,N,O Materials: Letter cards for M,N,O Class 6- P,Q,R Materials: Letter cards for P,Q,R Class 7- S,T,U Materials: Letter cards for S,T,U Class 8- V,W,X Materials: Letter cards for V,W,X Class 9- Y,Z Materials: Letter cards for Y,Z Class 10- Letter Review Materials: All Letter Cards (laid out on floor or table) **Other Materials May Be Added for this Final Class.
