Class Experience

This is the 4th camp in a series, but don't let that stop you! We have lots to learn! In this 1 week class, your camper will review and explore everything they have learned in Kindergarten, including sight words from the Dolche list, math concepts, and ELA concepts to be prepared for First grade. We will focus everyday with worksheets and onscreen teaching, mixing up the time with 2 active brain breaks, to get them out of their chairs, and get their wiggles out.

We will have class Monday- Thursday with Friday off for time to play and explore with their grown ups.
I am happy to adapt to your child's learning abilities, and will listen to your questions and concerns.
I make sure to talk to each child, and encourage all of them to interact with the class.
This class is best for students headed into 1st grade, or for the high level 5 year olds.

Hello! My name is Dina, and I am excited to have you here! First and foremost, I am a mama to 4 kidlings. Most are grown and 3 have left the nest, but I have 1 left at home. I love teaching kids. I love the "aha" on a child's face when they understand a new concept. I love the personalities that I come across. I have been teaching English online for several years to children ages 3-16. I have also been a preschool teacher for over 20 years.
If I could have had another career, I might have been a librarian, because I LOVE reading! Reading is one of my favorite hobbies!
Some of my other hobbies include hiking, gardening, my pets, and cooking!
I believe in finding the spark of curiosity that lives in every child, and encouraging it to grow. I hope to inspire my students through engagement with reading, learning, cooking, a positive mindset, play and laughter.
When I am not teaching classes I am a wedding officiant! I get to marry people~ which is so rewarding and special. :)
I have an ECE degree, a Bachelor of Arts, and a Masters in Business, and a Doctorate in Divinity. I also have my TESOL and TOEFL certifications.
I hope you will be inspired to have a class with me, and I am hopeful your child will have as much fun with me, as I plan to with them!
See you in the classroom!
Sincerely, Dina
