Class Experience
This class is for readers that need one- on- one tutoring. We will use the Frozen Step Into Reading series. The books are on level 2 (L-N).Each instructional lesson will begin with a review of previously taught skills, which will include a reread. Next, we will build word families by hammering, snapping and clapping the words. We will picture walk the new read by looking at the pictures and finding unfamiliar words. We will look at the structure of the text. I will model a reading strategy...
Student will improve their sight word and phonetic skills while reading about things they love.
I have the literacy endorsement. I have also been the Literacy Teacher of the Year and Teacher of the Year. I also have been trained in Project Read.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
I will observe to see if students are using the skill that have been taught when reading and if they are able to read the book and answer comprehension questions about the book,
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
