Beginner - Advanced Level
Whether your learner is a 9-year-old who is reading below grade level or a 10th-grader tackling an A.P. course, Ms. Heather has the expertise your child needs to succeed in English Language Arts! Ms. Heather teaches and tutors learners ages 8 through 18 at any level, whether the learners are struggling, average, or advanced. Learning Goals
1. Student will use key reading skills to analyze fiction and nonfiction texts.
2. Student will write paragraphs and essays with proper content and structure.

4. Student will make claims and write strong topic sentences and thesis statements.
5. Student will choose evidence from texts and elaborate on how the evidence supports the claim.
6. Student will determine how many paragraphs are needed to complete a given writing task and organize information accordingly.

Supply List
Students should use an electronic device on which to type in a shared Google Doc provided by Ms. Heather. A notebook, pencil, and a highlighter marker also recommended.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
