*** THIS IS A FLEX CLASS AND DOES NOT HAVE LIVE MEETINGS ***

This fun flex class will encourage students as they learn new vocabulary words, including adjectives, verbs, adverbs, nouns, homophones, homographs, and idioms. These new words/phrases will be grade-level appropriate, but also stretch the learners and help them to expand their knowledge and vocabulary. They will write short sentences and have options to draw out the idioms or even create cartoons. By the end of Week 4, each learner...

Students will be able to recognize and understand the meaning of idioms.
Students will be able to create their own idiom story using illustrations and drawings.
Students will be able to understand figurative and literal language
Students will be able to appreciate and value the use of idioms.
