It is a story filled with empathy and heart as Edward Tulane goes on a journey he doesn't choose. Come along for the story full of feelings and warmth as we join Edward on his miraculous journey. I have been a 3rd grade teacher for 10 years and this is my ALL TIME favorite book. I read this book every year and never miss the opportunity to read this classic award winning book. It is an all time favorite for my students and I love reading with inflection. The students feel like they are on the journey with Edward. They don't want to stop listening and look forward to when we get to read again. The author, Kate DiCamillo, inspires me as I teach narrative and fantasy writing to kids.
