US Grade 3 - 4
In this one time class students will learn to identify Similes and Metaphors in writing. Students will engage in a mini lesson to learn the skill of determining the figurative language that is used. Then we will create similes and metaphors of our own and illustrate them. The learner will then share their creation. To show what students know we will play a game to show what we have learned. This class is great for students in 3rd grade and will be helpful to students in 4th who may need some extra practice. ***Please note if times I have scheduled do not fit into your schedule please send me a message and we can work on times that will work for everyone. Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to seeing your learner in my class soon.
Learning Goals
Students will be able to identify a simile or metaphor in writing and then create and illustrate their own similes and metaphors.
