Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 6
Beginner Level
In this class, students will practice reading words while playing various online games and having fun. This class is for beginning readers, struggling readers, ESL students, and any students needing to practice reading words in isolation.

I can practice CVC words with beginning readers. CVC words are words that follow the consonant-vowel-consonant pattern: cat, peg, hot, fin, and hug. I can practice words with specific patterns (long vowels, short vowels, magic E words, oi/oy, sh/ch/th, CVVC words, etc.). I can customize the games to fit the need of your learner.

This class will allow students to practice reading while having fun. I want to help students become confident readers. I have over twenty interactive games. Because each game is short, we should be able to play several games during class. I will use different words for each game. That way, students are able to practice reading a lot more words.

If you would like, you can send me a specific list of words to use in the games. You do not have to send me a word list though. Please just let me know what type of words to prepare, and I will make a list. If you do want to send me a list, please send the list to me no later than 48 hours before the class. I want to be able to have time to get prepared. I will use different words each time your child attends class.

If you would like for your child to have more than one class per week, you may sign up for multiple classes. 📆
